Summary

Charlie lives in a single family home with his five kids, ranging in age from 13 to 18. Charlie’s oldest son dropped out of high school and could not return during the pandemic, choosing now to spend most of his time at his girlfriend’s house, taking his dog with him. Charlie lives next to his mother and brother, and the family would frequently socialize with Charlie’s mother. Charlie’s neighbors to the west recently moved out, and  their houses are now vacant, prompting safety concerns for Charlie. He also sees roaches in the yard between his home and the vacant houses behind him. Charlie does not have internet access, and prior to the pandemic, it was not an issue. However, during lockdown, the children had to use hotspots in order to study from home. The family stayed safe and clean by keeping hand sanitizer near the entrance of the house.
